David Reeves

David is a senior manager in PKF Francis Clark’s technical and professional standards team, providing accounting, financial reporting and audit quality support to audit teams across the firm.

A chartered certified accountant, David qualified in 2015 and has extensive experience advising and auditing owner-managed and privately owned businesses. With a background in statutory audit and advisory work, David now focuses exclusively on technical and quality-related matters. His work spans financial reporting, audit methodology, training and professional standards, helping teams apply professional requirements clearly, consistently and proportionately

David has supported engagement teams on a wide range of technical matters, including business acquisitions, group restructurings and significant accounting judgements. He is also recognised within the firm for his knowledge of anti-money laundering and know your client requirements and has played a key role in supporting teams through major developments to FRS 102, including changes to revenue recognition and lease accounting.

Alongside his technical work, David contributes to firm-wide guidance and training, helping colleagues deliver high-quality audits in an evolving regulatory environment.

When he’s not helping colleagues navigate technical accounting and audit challenges, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and can often be found working on his latest car project.
