George Willis
Manager, agriculture sector
George Willis is a qualified Chartered Accountant who manages a portfolio of rural and agricultural businesses. Combining the analytical mindset developed through his audit training with a genuine passion for the farming industry, George is committed to helping clients navigate the challenges and opportunities facing modern farming businesses.
Originally from the Isle of Wight, George is the son of a farming family and remains closely connected to agriculture. His family’s farm comprises a herd of 120 suckler cows and 350 breeding ewes, alongside 500 acres of mixed arable and pastureland. This practical farming background gives him a valuable understanding of the commercial and personal considerations that shape decision-making in rural businesses.
Whilst specialising in compliance matters, George has also worked on a range of advisory projects, including forecasting for bank refinancing, succession planning and capital tax planning. He is particularly proud to have supported clients through periods of significant legislative change affecting the agricultural sector.
Outside of work, George is a keen cricketer, playing in the West of England Premier League. He also enjoys a round of golf whenever possible and can often be found at Cheltenham Racecourse during the winter months.
