Jon Watson

Jon joined the firm in 2013 as a graduate tax trainee. In 2017, he became a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has worked across multiple areas of the UK tax system.

Jon began his career in personal tax compliance. He later gained experience in corporate tax compliance before moving into an advisory role. Jon started by supporting across multiple different areas, but found his niche in property taxes. He has a key focus on stamp duty land tax, capital gains tax and capital allowances.

Jon advises a wide range of clients, from large corporations to private individuals. He helps them meet their personal goals and guides them through complex property transactions. He equally enjoys both ends of that spectrum, whether that is assisting someone through their first property purchase or advising on the multiple tax aspects of holding a significant property portfolio.

Outside of work, Jon is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his young family.
