Exeter office colleagues choose Exeter Community Initiatives as their charity of the year

Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI) is set to benefit from the fundraising efforts of colleagues at our Exeter office who selected it to be their charity of the year.

Daisy Binnie (ECI), Helen Tullett, Gemma Samuel and Sonia Fisher (PKF Francis Clark) and Teresa Pollard (ECI)

So far this year the team at our office on Peninsula Park have already held some fun fundraising activities to raise money for ECI, including bake sales, an Easter egg hunt, Wimbledon sweepstake, raffle and a variety of social events.

ECI celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Through its projects – Bike Bank, Community Builders, Exeter Connect, Jelly, Family Resource, Remade and Transitions – the charity works with individuals, families and communities to empower them to take control of their lives, develop strategies to own and manage their choices and thrive within the life they want to lead.

A number of colleagues nominated Exeter Community Initiatives because of the fantastic work the charity is doing to support people in our community, particularly during the current cost of living crisis.

Sonia Fisher, partner and head of PKF Francis Clark’s Exeter office, said: “Each year our colleagues vote for a local charity to support over the next 12 months. A number of colleagues nominated Exeter Community Initiatives because of the fantastic work the charity is doing to support people in our community, particularly during the current cost of living crisis. Since ECI topped our charity of the year poll it’s been great to learn more about the impact of their varied projects and our teams are enjoying coming up with creative ways to raise funds.”

Teresa Pollard, Exeter Community Initiatives fundraising manager, said: “A huge thank you to the staff at PKF Francis Clark for choosing Exeter Community Initiatives to be their charity of the year. The impact of Covid and the cost of living crisis means life is getting tougher than ever for people in Exeter and across Devon. As a result, we’ve seen an increased demand for our services, so we’re incredibly grateful to PKF Francis Clark for their amazing fundraising efforts which will help us continue to help people when it matters most.”

Any business or individuals interested in fundraising for Exeter Community Initiatives can contact the charity’s fundraising team via email [email protected] or call 01392 205800 or 07517 776675.
