PKF Francis Clark advises YFM Equity Partners on investment into Swanky Group

We advised YFM Equity Partners on its £7.6m investment into Swanky Group Limited, an Exeter‑headquartered, full‑service Shopify Plus agency, backing the business to support its next phase of growth.

Swanky is a leading Shopify platinum partner, specialising in delivering complex, high‑performance e‑commerce solutions for ambitious retailers and brands. Founded in 2010, the business operates internationally across the UK, Europe and Australia, employing a team of around 70 people.

PKF Francis Clark acted as corporate finance adviser to YFM Equity Partners, providing support throughout the transaction, including deal structuring, financial modelling and end‑to‑end transaction support through to completion.

The investment will support Swanky’s continued expansion, including further investment in talent and service capability, deepening mid‑market penetration and pursuing selective M&A opportunities, while keeping the business’s headquarters and strategic decision‑making firmly anchored in the South West.

Matt Gordon‑Smith, investment director at YFM Equity Partners, said: “Swanky has built a highly regarded position within the Shopify Plus ecosystem, underpinned by deep platform expertise and long‑standing client relationships. The team has demonstrated consistent growth and strong operational discipline, and we believe there is significant opportunity to scale further as more brands prioritise performance‑led e‑commerce strategies.”

Nick Tippett, corporate finance partner at PKF Francis Clark, added: “This is a high‑quality regional private equity transaction that demonstrates the strength of businesses operating from the South West. We were pleased to support YFM on a complex deal that balanced shareholder exits, management incentivisation and future‑focused governance, while positioning Swanky for long‑term, scalable growth.”

Our deal team comprised Nick Tippett, Tom Hicks and Nathan Holland.
