Private client tax partner Faye Howard joins PKF Francis Clark

PKF Francis Clark has appointed a new partner to head up the firm’s private client offering in Dorset, Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

Faye Howard, formerly a partner at a regional firm in East Anglia, works with clients, including high net worth individuals, to make sure their tax affairs are structured in the most efficient manner. Based at our Poole and Salisbury offices, her areas of expertise include income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

Faye said: “What attracted me to PKF Francis Clark was the firm’s ethos, which is very client-focused but also very team-focused, with ambitious growth plans and a real commitment to attracting, retaining and looking after really good people. And from a quality of life perspective, I’m excited to move to the south coast because I love exploring the New Forest and getting out on the water.

“Having always worked closely with financial planners, solicitors and independent financial advisers, I’m looking forward to collaborating with my new colleagues in Francis Clark Financial Planning, as well as our network of professional contacts, to provide our clients with bespoke, joined-up tax planning advice.”

Faye’s appointment follows a year of record recruitment for PKF Francis Clark, which saw more than 30 trainees and experienced hires join in Poole and Salisbury.

James Robinson, partner and head of the Poole office, said: “Faye brings a wealth of experience of advising private individuals, owner-managed businesses, trusts and estates on issues such as inheritance tax planning and much more. Equally importantly, she is a great fit with our culture of shared ambition and I’m delighted to welcome her to the firm.

“The pandemic has prompted people to reflect on what’s important to them and their families, and we have helped many clients to formulate long-term plans that can be revisited and updated in response to future life events. Faye’s appointment strengthens our private client offering and she will play a key role in developing our expanding teams as we continue to recruit.”

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Faye is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Her clients have included landed families, non-resident and non-domiciled individuals, those with significant investment portfolios, including Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Venture Capital Trust (VCT) investments, and trustees and beneficiaries of UK and offshore trusts. She is also an experienced public speaker on all areas of private client taxes.

Applications are currently open for PKF Francis Clark’s 2022 graduate and school leaver accountancy apprenticeships. More information can be found at careers.pkf-francisclark.co.uk.
