Top 10 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women ranking for PKF Francis Clark

PKF Francis Clark has been ranked sixth out of 100 large employers in the 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list, making it the highest-ranked accountancy or professional services firm.

The new rankings are compiled by Great Place To Work, the company behind the largest global survey of workplace cultures and people practices.

They celebrate organisations that are actively removing barriers to women’s career advancement and creating equitable environments where all employees, regardless of gender, can flourish. Companies were evaluated based on employee feedback and workplace culture audits.

Amy Taylor, chief people officer at PKF Francis Clark, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women for a third year in a row, breaking into the top 10 for the first time. This achievement reflects our continued focus on creating a culture where everyone feels supported, respected and has equal opportunities to succeed.

“While the positive feedback from our people that led to this ranking is an endorsement of the progress we’ve made, we know there’s always more to do. We continue to listen to our people to help us go further in identifying and removing barriers to career progression, and supporting all colleagues to balance their work and family responsibilities.”

The Best Workplaces for Women rankings are 85% based on what women themselves report about their workplaces in an anonymous survey conducted by Great Place To Work, and how fairly those experiences compare to men’s reports of the same workplaces. The remaining 15% is based on how well represented women are in the workforce and throughout management.

Women at PKF Francis Clark who participated in the latest survey highlighted flexible working, paid volunteering days and support for career development as aspects of the firm’s culture they value.

One colleague commented: “The firm has been helping me to achieve my career goals and supporting me in every way along the way. It also takes great care of my personal health, both mentally and physically.”

Another said: “They have put a lot of effort into making it a lovely environment, maintaining flexibility so we have options to work from home and being open with us about the company’s progress and changes. There is an active social committee and I love the opportunities we are given to volunteer in our community.”

In the survey:

  • 96% of women at PKF Francis Clark said “When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome”
  • 95% said “People care about each other here”
  • 91% said “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work”

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, said: “This year’s UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list highlights organisations that are moving beyond good intentions and delivering real, measurable progress. These companies are dismantling outdated norms, prioritising women’s health and building clear, supported pathways to leadership. Congratulations to PKF Francis Clark for leading by example — and showing what a genuinely inclusive workplace can look like.”

PKF Francis Clark has been ranked among the overall UK’s Best Workplaces for three years running by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, as well as featuring on its separate lists of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing, Best Workplaces for Development and Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services.
