Winners of the Devon Farm Business Awards 2023 announced

On Wednesday 17 May 2023, our rural team joined the farming community to recognise the importance of British farming and celebrate the 2023 Devon Farm Business Awards.

About the awards

Organised by the Addington Fund, with Principal Sponsor Cornish Mutual, the evening celebrated Devon’s finest farmers with one overall winner claiming Devon’s Farmer of the Year 2023. The Devon Farm Business Awards, now in its ninth year, provides an opportunity to recognise the hard work of farmers and the farming industry. In addition, the total amount raised from all fundraising activities during the evening was over £4000 with more donations steadily coming in online. This incredible amount will go back into Addington Fund to help the farming community in times of need.

Award winners

We were proud to sponsor the Best Commercial Farmer category at this year’s awards, and present the award to David Merrin and family of Hendham Farm on behalf of PKF Francis Clark. Congratulations to David and family.

In addition, congratulations to Lawrence & Lee Glanville & Alistair Graham of Surfing Cow Ltd on winning Devon’s farmer of the year.
