Alison Trant

Director, corporate finance

Alison has gained over 20 years’ commercial banking experience since joining the Bank of Scotland graduate programme in her home city of Glasgow in 2001. After completing her chartered banking qualifications, she moved to Southampton in 2003 and since then has worked for several high street banks in the South Central region, including NatWest and Lloyds.

Alison held frontline roles serving both commercial and corporate clients, looking after all aspects of their banking and funding requirements throughout their business lifecycle – from working capital facilities, property purchase, investment or development through to more complex transaction debt funding for management buy-outs or acquisitions. She also has significant experience in operational banking matters and can help businesses understand the tools available to operate as efficiently as possible. She has served clients in all sectors, with some time spent in a specialist manufacturing role.

In 2018, Alison started an independent banking and funding advisory business with Jeremy Richards, recognising the fast-growing alternative funding marketplace and wishing to provide businesses with banking experience and access to the wide range of possible funding solutions. A passion for delivering great service and finding solutions is what drives Alison and she was delighted to become part of our team in 2022, bringing her banking and funding expertise to deliver best-in-class advice for clients.

When not working, Alison is kept very busy by her young son but she finds the time (whilst she still can) to play and umpire in a local netball league.
