Ian Hughes

Ian is a partner in the Truro client service team, having joined the firm way back in 2003 after completing a degree in maths & physics.

Ian has a portfolio of owner-managed businesses of all types from a wide range of industries, but has notable expertise in the hospitality, leisure & tourism sector. He not only provides accounts and tax compliance services but also regularly delivers tax-planning and business advice on a variety of issues. He particularly enjoys developing long-term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted advisor on hand all year round. Ian is also a part of the firm’s cloud accounting team and manages the Truro office’s cloud experts, so has plenty of in-depth knowledge of the Government’s ‘making tax digital’ schemes.

Ian’s spare time is mainly occupied by his two sons, but likes to fit in time at the pub with friends when he can.
