Jo Boyer

Jo is a senior manager in PKF Francis Clark’s tax team, advising wealthy individuals, families and business owners on estate and succession planning.

She works closely with clients whose wealth is often tied up in businesses, property or other illiquid assets, helping them navigate the complex tax and practical issues that arise when planning for the future. Her work includes inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, gifting strategies, the use of trusts, business restructuring, succession planning and the wider tax considerations that often accompany these areas.

Jo’s role requires a detailed understanding of the interaction between personal and business taxes, together with close collaboration with other professional advisers. She takes pride in taking the time to understand not only a client’s tax position but also their family circumstances, personal objectives and long-term aspirations. Her focus is not simply on achieving a tax-efficient result, but on helping clients find solutions that work for them and their families.

Jo joined PKF Francis Clark in 2021 and is both a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), having qualified in 2019, and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), having qualified in 2014.

Before specialising in the work she does today, Jo gained experience across a broad range of tax and accountancy roles. Her background includes corporate tax in industry, charities and not-for-profit taxation, advising high-net-worth individuals, trusts and family groups, and providing specialist tax support to accountancy firms and their clients. This breadth of experience gives her a well-rounded perspective when advising clients whose personal, family and business interests are often closely connected.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, exploring the UK in their campervan and seeking out new adventures. She can also be found on the netball court as part of a local social league or at home being far too competitive over a good board game!
