Mike specialises in customs duty and international trade.

He assists clients with solutions to all manner of customs queries and is normally involved in advisory projects to ensure businesses understand their compliance obligations and the options they have available to reduce their liabilities.

Mike has developed internal customs procedures for many businesses in the region and has supported a variety of clients subject to customs audits, allowing them to rectify errors and successfully mitigate penalties. He also provides bespoke training sessions on a variety of trade topics.

Mike has worked with operations varying in size from start-up sole-traders to multinational PLCs and is dedicated to providing clear and practical advice.

Mike is a Chartered Tax Adviser and full member of the Institute of Export and International Trade. Before joining the firm, he gained an MA with distinction in History with a dissertation focused on British international diplomacy. In his spare time, Mike can typically be found somewhere on Dartmoor photographing the landscape. He also enjoys mountain biking, world cinema and holds an RYA powerboating qualification.
