Stuart Slater

Technician, IT audit and cyber security

Stuart joined the IT assurance and team in April 2022, retraining in IT and Cyber Security, following a successful career in policing and counter terrorism for the Metropolitan Police. During his time in-law enforcement, Stuart witnessed a significant increase in cybercrime as organised crime groups had the ability to conduct offences wherever they were based in the world. It was because of this shift in focus that Stuart became inspired to move into cyber security permanently.

Stuart is an ISO 27001 lead auditor and is equipped with a strong, all-round knowledge of IT. He has experience of working with various organisations to identify key areas of risk and currently leads on delivering our core cyber assurance service lines. Stuart works with clients daily to understand their risks, their business strategy and what control frameworks they have in place and is well-placed to provide guidance and support on cyber security best practice.

Outside of work, Stuart is a very keen golfer who plays most of his golf during the summer months at Woodbury Park in Exeter.
