New accountancy and tax trainees start their careers with PKF Francis Clark
We’ve welcomed 44 new trainee accountants and tax advisers this year, with most starting their careers with us this summer.
Our new recruits are based across our offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Taunton, Truro, Poole and Salisbury.

During their first weeks, they have taken part in an induction programme at the University of Exeter, designed to help them build connections with colleagues, develop key skills and gain a deeper understanding of the firm’s culture and values.
Trainees participated in a range of activities focused on team building, self-reflection and personal development. Alongside learning more about the profession they are entering, trainees explored the importance of ethics in accountancy and tax, and the positive impact they can have through the work they do for clients, communities and wider society.

This year’s intake is the first to join PKF Francis Clark since we became a Certified B Corporation™. As part of the B Corp certification process, businesses are independently assessed for how they take care of their employees and improve their lives and wellbeing.
Amy Taylor, chief people officer at PKF Francis Clark, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new trainees to the firm and to support them as they take the first steps in what we hope will be long and successful careers. Our induction programme is an opportunity to build relationships, understand our culture and values, and start thinking about the impact they can have for our clients and communities.
“As a Certified B Corp, we’re committed to creating a business that benefits people and planet. This includes working with local schools and colleges to widen access to accountancy careers, and investing in helping talented individuals to develop, so we’re excited to see what this year’s cohort will achieve.”
PKF Francis Clark offers a range of trainee pathways in accountancy and tax, enabling new recruits to earn while they learn and gain professional qualifications alongside practical experience with clients. Applications for next year’s programmes open in September, when a series of accountancy trainee open evenings will be taking place across our offices.
