PKF Francis Clark enters UK’s Best Large Workplaces top 20

We're the highest-ranked accountancy employer

PKF Francis Clark is celebrating breaking into the top 20 Best Large Workplaces in the UK for the first time.

For 25 years, workplace culture expert Great Place to Work has been ranking the UK’s Best Workplaces, based on its independent surveys of employees at hundreds of organisations across all sectors.

We have made the list for three years running, moving up the rankings each time.

PKF Francis Clark is the highest-ranked accountancy firm on this year’s list, having climbed four places to 20th among large workplaces (201-1,000 employees). We are also one of only three South West businesses in the top 20 across all size categories.

Amy Taylor, chief people officer at PKF Francis Clark, said: “Being certified as a Great Place to Work is fantastic recognition for any employer. Since first achieving this three years ago, we haven’t stopped looking for ways to make our employee experience even better. Listening to our colleagues, including through regular engagement surveys, and acting on their feedback is key to this.

“Our commitment to continuous improvement is reflected in the fact that each year we’ve moved up the UK’s Best Workplaces rankings. The best thing is these rankings are based on confidential feedback from employees at hundreds of companies across the country. We’re proud to be flying the flag for the accountancy profession and the South West.”

This year’s UK’s Best Workplaces were revealed at an awards ceremony in London hosted by comedian Richard Ayoade. Attendees included 10 colleagues from across our offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Torquay and Truro, who were nominated by their peers to represent the firm.

In Great Place to Work’s latest survey of PKF Francis Clark colleagues, 87% of respondents said the firm is a great place to work, compared to 54% of employees at a typical UK-based company. Meanwhile, 91% said they are offered training or development to further themselves professionally, above the benchmark of 78% for the UK’s Best Large Workplaces.

Popular features of life at PKF Francis Clark include in-house leadership programmes, volunteering days and regular sessions focusing on colleagues’ physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

The firm appears on Great Place to Work’s lists of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting & Professional Services, Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces for Wellbeing and Best Workplaces for Development.

PKF Francis Clark has also been recognised by the government for its commitment to apprenticeships, featuring in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers league table for the past two years.
