New business advisory director joins our growing Bristol office

Our growing Bristol team has been strengthened by the appointment of business advisory director Carmelo Lattuca.

Carmelo brings more than 15 years’ experience of advising business owners on a wide range of issues, including funding, tax, wealth preservation and succession planning. Having spent the past five years in Bath, managing a portfolio of clients for Monahans, he returns to Bristol, where he started his career with Houghton Stone and Milsted Langdon.

Carmelo said: “I’m delighted to be back in Bristol – I’ve always seen the city as the business hub of the South West, and it’s a market I know well.

“It’s an exciting time to join PKF Francis Clark. We have a talented and enthusiastic team. I’m looking forward to helping to develop them and driving our continued growth here in Bristol.”

PKF Francis Clark’s business advisory team typically works with owner-managed businesses with a turnover of up to £25m, supported by colleagues specialising in areas including tax, VAT and customs, corporate finance and financial planning.

Paul Bray, partner and head of PKF Francis Clark’s Bristol office, which opened in 2019, said: “As we continue to attract new clients, we were looking to strengthen our business advisory leadership team. As soon as I met Carmelo, it was clear he had the experience and personality to help lead and develop our team, as well as managing relationships with new and existing clients in the city and surrounding area.

“I’m delighted he’s chosen to join us and know he will play a key role in the next phase of our exciting growth plans.”

Carmelo added: “I enjoy building enduring relationships with clients, earning their trust and guiding them to achieve their business and personal goals. In this period of rapid technological change and the rise of AI, that bespoke, tailored service is something that I believe requires a personal touch.

“That’s what we’re here for, and it’s what sets us apart. Being the largest independent chartered accountancy firm in the South West is a key part of what appealed to me about PKF Francis Clark. You’re not just a number here – you’re part of something that’s been going for over 100 years and still has those traditional values.”

Outside work, Carmelo is kept busy by his two young sons, watching and playing football, playing electric guitar and has a passion for all things automotive. He also finds time for his voluntary school governor role.

PKF Francis Clark has been ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces by workplace culture experts Great Place to Work for three years running.
