PKF Francis Clark joins leading businesses to celebrate South West Tourism

On Thursday 23 March, members of our leisure and tourism team joined other leading businesses at the Eden Project to celebrate the 2022/23 South West Tourism Excellence Awards.

With another difficult year for businesses in the industry, the tourism awards, which have maintained their outstanding accreditation in the Awards Trust Mark scheme, acknowledge the importance of hospitality, leisure and tourism businesses in the South West and celebrate their achievements at the same time.

Amongst the winners were hotels, holiday parks, camping and glamping sites, B&Bs, pubs, cafes and attractions.

The South West Tourism Awards celebrate the success of businesses within the sector and we are proud sponsors of the small hotel category. This category recognises accommodation businesses that provide memorable guest experiences whilst demonstrating excellence across every aspect of the business.

Congratulations to

Gold
The Pig-at Combe

Silver
Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa
The Pig-on the beach

Bronze

We were also delighted to see several clients recognised for their fantastic achievements including Andrew Baragwanath. Andrew, owner of Ayr Holiday Park near St Ives and national chairman of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BH&HPA) was awarded for outstanding contribution to South West Tourism. Andrew gave a special mention to John Hick (previous chair of the BH&HPA) and has been recognised for his role in promoting the holiday park industry over the years.

Tom Roach, head of leisure and tourism says “It was fantastic to be in the same room as so many businesses showcasing some of the best that the South West has to offer the tourism industry.”
