Mike specialises in large international audits and thrives on delivering quality and insight to clients, collaborating across the PKF Global network.

Hi there, I’m Mike, one of our audit leads in the Bristol office.

 

I deliver large international audits and take real pride working alongside some of my colleagues across the PKF global network.

 

Quality and insight are at the heart of what I seek to deliver. I’m passionate about supporting our talented teams and ensuring our clients get real value and insight. Every day brings new challenges and I genuinely enjoy that.

 

Outside of work. I cherish the time I have with my family. My kids often ask what I do for a living. I used to tell them I check that clients get their numbers right. I now tell them that I help clients get their numbers right.

Mike Hall is a senior audit director and Responsible Individual (RI), authorised to lead and sign statutory audit reports. This designation reflects his deep technical expertise, professional independence, and accountability for audit quality. Based in Bristol, Mike also plays a strategic role in coordinating international audit engagements across the PKF Global Network, bringing a global perspective to mid-market and multinational clients.

At PKF Francis Clark, Mike leads audits for a wide range of businesses including:

• International groups operating across borders

• Private equity-backed and owner-managed businesses

• Clients in the energy and renewables, manufacturing, and retail sectors.

He is known for combining a strong technical foundation with a pragmatic, value-driven approach. Mike regularly presents to boards and audit committees, translating complex audit findings into clear, actionable insights. He also performs engagement quality reviews on some of the firm’s highest-risk audits, reinforcing PKF’s commitment to excellence.

Before joining PKF Francis Clark in November 2023, Mike spent nine years at a ‘big 4’ firm, where he led audits for:

• FTSE-listed companies

• Public Interest Entities (PIEs)

• Other Entities of Public Interest (OEPIs)

Mike is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and three young children.
