Multi-million pound investment boost for Journey Hospitality

PKF Francis Clark conducts due diligence for specialist growth finance provider

Journey Hospitality, a leading provider of e-commerce software and services for the UK’s independent hotel industry, has secured a multi-million pound investment from Growth Lending to support its continued business growth.

Journey Hospitality empowers independent luxury hotels by enhancing profitability and reducing reliance on high-fee industry competitors. Its integrated platform streamlines bookings across hotel services, including spa, restaurant and accommodation, providing both guests and staff with a seamless experience when coordinating their trip.

The funding is provided by Growth Lending, a specialist provider of growth capital for innovative, fast-scaling SMEs.

A team at PKF Francis Clark – comprising Andrew Killick, Matt Pearce and Chris Harper – carried out financial due diligence on Journey Hospitality for Growth Lending.

Matt Pearce, corporate finance associate director at PKF Francis Clark, said: “It was great to support Growth Lending on another tech sector transaction.

“We were able to work collaboratively with the Journey management team to a tight timeline, while providing Growth Lending with a full suite of historical, forecast and sensitivity analysis. We look forward to seeing Journey Hospitality using this funding to drive its next phase of growth.”

With loans from £2 million, Growth Lending supports businesses across a variety of sectors, with a strong track record in technology, media and telecommunications (TMT). Its partnership with Journey Hospitality reinforces its commitment to backing the next generation of high-growth UK businesses.

Journey Hospitality will use the funds to drive the next phase of its expansion, following a period of significant investment in development and product launches. This latest cash injection will be instrumental in strengthening the organisation, enhancing operational efficiencies and advancing the platform’s capabilities to deliver greater value to clients.

Simon Bullingham, chief executive at Journey Hospitality, said: “This investment marks a significant milestone for Journey Hospitality as we continue to innovate and support independent luxury hotels in an increasingly competitive market. By providing a fully integrated e-commerce platform, we are helping hotels maximise profitability, streamline operations and enhance the guest experience. Growth Lending’s support will enable us to accelerate our expansion, further develop our technology and empower even more independent hotels to thrive.”

Chris Mears, regional head at Growth Lending, said: “We have closely watched the remarkable progress that Journey has made over the past three years and are pleased to support this next stage of growth. Their commitment to innovation has resulted in a range of powerful and innovative products and services that are redefining how their clients do business. As they continue to evolve, we look forward to seeing the impact of their solutions in driving transformation across the industry.”

Averroes Capital, Gambit Corporate Finance, Capital Law and Browne Jacobson also supported the deal.
